Managed to find some time to do a bit more painting...
This is my first completed Sternguard veteran - he's from the Dark Angels robed veteran sprue, with a converted Combi-Melta.
The next 4 members of the Sternguard squad. I also have another 5 Sternguard, the Ultramarine Librarian Tigurius and the Dark Angel Chaplain Asmodai in the same scheme (the last two have their respective Chapter symbols removed).
His backpack is from the plastic Chaos Marines, with the "arms" cut off and various spiky arrows shaved off.
Also started to paint this guy, another Librarian for my Chapter, based on the Dark Angels character Ezekiel. This guy was cheap (like, 50p-ish) on eBay, minus his sword (which had the hands built in). I've always loved the miniature, but had no interest in collecting Dark Angels, so I thought I'd de-DA him and use him in my Chapter. Specialists in my Chapter (Chaplains, Librarians, Apothecaries, Techmarines) have their "official" armour colour (black, blue, white and red respectively) with their left arm remaining black. He's going to be a pyrokine fluff-wise, the flaming sword will be light greenish.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Sternguard turn out. I hope the sword on the Librarian turns out well for you, a nice pale green would be very cool. :)
