Zomtober 2013 - Week 1

My first batch of completed miniatures for Zomtober 2013 - 15 Studio Miniatures plastic zeds! I painted these on Saturday, with the blood (and the writing on the prison clothing of the zombie convicts) being finished today. I'm going to show off a few of these in a bit more detail over the next week, plus some vehicles that I've dug out of the huge terrain materials box that will be re-painted (and in the case of at least one, turned into a post-apoc survival vehicle) over the coming weeks...

More to come shortly!

  1. Convict zombies seem to be all the rage at the moment following a certain TV show. Which is not meant to devalue yours at all. I am sure IF I was doing modern zombies I would have a group of convicts as well. Nice little horde of shamblers. Keep up the good work always a joy to see painted zombie figures.

    1. Hah, yeah, I do enjoy TWD, although the comic is leaps and bounds better! My latest blogpost has a bit about the convicts in a bit more detail - thanks for your comment!

  2. Brilliant. I'd have to do convict group chained together that would be scary in game as well being hounded and having to go around the group to avoid getting tangle up

    1. That does sound like a good idea! If I had more zombies on sprue (I had a big building session with my Indiegogo Studio Miniatures zombies, then basecoated/washed them all ready for batch painting) I'd have definitely tried something like that! Thanks :)

    1. Thanks - I think I've got batch painting these down to a T with the 40 or so I painted a few months back :)
